I started the first in-house collection of graphics. I collected most of the graphics from artists outside of the company. It took me two weeks of asking everyone before I could find a copy of their own logo file. Which they did not like and considered it an old one because it was initially created for the Brookeville Beer Farm Taproom where it all started. So I created a new logo based on a merchandise design on a hat that represents their new Brewery and Wholesale Distribution business. Everyone loves the new logo. I'm not in love with the extension that sticks out forcing the logo to feel like it starts below it should in many situations where the logo is being used. I want to design a new logo that is more flexible for social media and various places we have to upload it to.
The Sales Team wondered if they could get a poster to put in the window for customers that wanted it. This project took quite a few ideas and iterations before we landed on this. I think it looks absolutely stunning behind me on conference calls with customers.
As luck would have it, a spot opened up to go to the Craft Brewers Conference and everyone agreed to bring me along. Off to Nashville, I was bound. But going to a conference requires you to pass out business cards. Nobody knew where the business cards came from or where the graphics are. So now they have a new template for anyone who needs new business cards. Everyone gets to choose their own color from the colors of the Core beers that we make all year long to further the branding. Oh, and, I am the Office Admin, but they call me the Art Director, so I'll take it :)
I was in charge of submitting our labels for approval with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau. After learning a lot about the legalities of what can and can not be on a label, I began to tidy up our standard government warning and details. Then I began testing different sizes of text for testing what looked best from different angles. Now, standards have been defined for the use of fonts, sizes, icons and locations. The effect this has on the cans on display on store shelves is a beautiful thing to see.

I am starting on a Style Guide and then eventually a thorough Design Guidebook. We have also purchased "The Beer Farm . com" and are building on the Wholesale & Distribution branding. There is also talk of building a much bigger brewery that would come with its own Taproom. There are big plans for the successful growing business and I am playing a huge role in helping make that happen. All of this while being the Office Admin first. That gives me a lot of satisfaction.
